This article examines the Socialist Republic of Vietnam's position on Russia's Special Military Operation. The study analyses the dynamics of Hanoi's official statements and identifies factors influencing its position, as well as examines the position of Vietnamese society. The article draws on a variety of sources, including Russian, Vietnamese and Western media sources. The author points out the need to consider the basic principles of the Vietnam foreign policy in order to better understand its position on the issue. It concludes by stressing the importance of Vietnam's flexible diplomacy in a complex geopolitical situation and maintaining neutrality in the conflict.

Vietnam's port system occupies a special place in the East Asian region, which is currently the world leader in the port industry and sea transportation. Over the past twenty years, Vietnam has been significantly ahead of its regional neighbors in terms of the average annual increase in port capacity. High port indicators become a response to an active state policy in this area. The article is devoted to the study of the increasing role of Vietnamese ports in the East Asian port system, the analysis of the current development and key problems of the port industry of Vietnam.

Many studies have shown that the residence changes led to the parish's conversion, affecting the practicing of religious rituals. However, the relationship between internal migration and religious participation has remained a study gap in Vietnam which has witnessed many migration flows. Therefore, the present study will aim to 1) describe the characteristics of Catholic migrants and clarify the religious participation level of Catholic migrants; 2) define the religious participation level of Catholic migrants, and 3) analyze the challenges for migrants to maintain religious life at the destination. By collecting the quantitative and qualitative data, the research results indicated that the feminization of migration is typically in the Catholic community; the average age of Catholic migrants is young, and the marriage rate and technical qualification are relatively higher than migrants in Vietnam in general. Besides, Catholic migrants had difficulty participating in feasts that required regular participation because they faced challenges from changing social environments, attitudes of the religious community of the destination, and their religious self-identity.

The article is devoted to the study of structural and semantic features of phraseological units with a numeral component in the Vietnamese language. It is noted that the numeral components in the phraseological units can both retain their quantitative meaning and be subjected to partial or complete desemantization. The most productive numeral components of phraseological units in the Vietnamese language are quantitative numerals of the first ten, while the largest number of set expressions are with the numeral một “one”. In the vast majority of Vietnamese phraseological units, several numerals are used simultaneously, usually two. This is due to the application of the principle of parallelism in the construction of most phraseological units. With the opposite use of numerals, it is possible both to use the same numeral several times, and to use different numerals together. It is noted that ordinal numbers in phraseological units are mostly devoid of symbolic meaning and retain their specific meanings. The features of various groups of numeral phraseological units borrowed from the Chinese language are considered. Using the number ba “three” as an example, different types of symbolic meanings of numerative components are analyzed. In the course of the study, extensive illustrative material was used. The relevance of the research topic is determined by the importance of phraseological units with a numerological component for understanding the cultural and linguistic picture of the world and the mentality of native Vietnamese speakers.

The article provides an overview of the international conference “Mainland ASEAN countries in regional integration processes: modern challenges and development prospects” held at the ICCA RAS. During the event scientists discussed bilateral relations between Indochina countries and dialogue partners, considered the Russia's role in the region, highlighted the main aspects of subregional cooperation as part of ASEAN integration processes, and also raised the economic aspects of the peninsula development.

The review is given to the monograph of the young scientist V. V. Vershinina, dedicated to the topical problem of Vietnam's regional integration. The author of the work not only analyzed the foreign policy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, but also considered the concept of a “middle power” and its modern interpretations.
