The Treaty on Principles of Friendly Relations between the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was signed on June 16, 1994 in Moscow. It was based on the generally accepted, universal norms and principles of the UN Charter and international law: respect for state sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, noninterference in each other’s internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit.
