4. Description Abstract

One of the most significant types of Vietnamese ceramics are the vessels decorated in the technique of underglazecobalt painting, known as Bleus de Huê. The article provides a brief history of the appearance of blue-and-white pottery in Vietnam, identifies the heyday and the most widespread distribution of this type of art and the formation of local centers for the production of ceramics and the export of Chinese porcelain to the Vietnamese market.

On the example of these wine bottles, the typology of the main functional forms, variants of artistic design and the symbolism of the decoration of products of the XVIII – early XX centuries are revealed. The relevance of the article is determined by the lack of research on this topic in the Russian-language literature.
