Author Guidelines

Basic article content requirements

Submitted contributions must correspond to the following requirements:

• relevance of the topic,
• scientific originality of the research
• Innovative nature of the research problem and the research methods used,
• a high degree of scientific and practical relevance of the results obtained.

The Editorial Board is directed by the following guidelines the principles of Journal ethics. The Editorial Board decides on the order and schedule of publishing papers based on their scientific relevance, the subject matter of each issue, and the quality of the preliminary preparation of manuscripts.

The Journal accepts articles from any author, of any nationality and with any degree, who has not published previously and is not intended for publication in other journals at the same time.

Articles for publication in the Journal are accepted on an ongoing basis. All submissions must be made in accordance with Requirements.

General requirements for the structure and volume of article. The article should have a structure that includes:

• the title of the article in English;
• the abstract in English;
• keywords in English;
• introduction;
• a number of informative sections;
• conclusion;
• acknowledgements (if any);
• funding (if any);
• reference list;
• information about authors.

The format used is A4, font Times New Roman, font size 10.5, line spacing 1.0. Left margin 20 mm, right margin 15 mm, remaining margins 10 mm.

The main text, abstract, keywords, author information, list of references are aligned to the width of the text. Section/sub-section titles, articles as well as authors and organizations are left-aligned.

Article title

The title of a research paper should be no more than 10-12 words, clearly reflecting the content of the paper.

The following general guidelines should be followed when choosing a title for an article:

• The title should be informative and not mislead the reader about the issues dealt with in the article;
• In the title, as in the whole article, the scientific style of speech should be strictly adhered to, avoiding compound clauses, participles and de-particular clauses, abbreviations and footnotes;
• Avoid using superfluous words, general phrases: "Problems...", "Some questions...", "Materials for the study of...", etc.

Annotation and key words.

The abstract should contain a 160-word summary of the scientific content of the article: subject matter, purpose of the work, method or methodology of the work, brief description of the experiment, results obtained, recommendations for their application.

Keywords should express the information presented in the article. The total number of keywords is at least 5 and no more than 15. Key words are listed separated by commas.

Introduction

In the introduction it is necessary to present a meaningful statement of the subject under consideration, to briefly analyze the solutions known from the scientific literature (with references to sources), to criticize their shortcomings, to show the scientific novelty and the advantage(s) of the proposed approach.

Main text

The main body of the article should present a clear statement of the problem to be considered, outline and explain the findings and conclusions, and present the results of the research. The main body of the article should be divided into informative sections.

The main text with sub-headings, formulas, tables, illustrations and captions should be no less than 8 pages and no more than 12 pages.

The titles of the sections are typed in bold, straight and left-aligned type, with no full stops at the end of the section names. The titles of the subsections are typed in italics, left-aligned and without full stops at the end of the subsection titles.

Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main results, comment on them and, if possible, indicate areas for further research and applications.

Acknowledgements and funding

Authors may acknowledge people and organizations who have contributed to the publication of the article in the journal but are not the authors, as well as indicate the source that funded the research.

List of references

It is recommended that a unified reference list be submitted for the entire paper.

Not abbreviated: titles in all fields of description, names of places of publication (cities). All data in the bibliographic description can be presented in complete detail.

The list of references must contain at least 8 references, at minimum 5 must be at least 10 years old. If the publication has a DOI, this shall be indicated at the end of the reference.

• Authors' information

The information concerning the authors should be in the following form.

Name P. Surname, academic degree, academic title, post address, place of work, work place address (ex: Lotsmanskaya, 3, St. Petersburg, 190121, Russian Federation), e-mail: ___________, AuthorID/ORCID/etc.: ____________.

Specifications for figures, tables and formulas

Automatic referencing and automatic numbering of formulas/tables/drawings are not allowed in the text.

Drawing design

Pictures are accepted in *.png format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Drawings are presented in black and white only. When submitting an article, it is important to have figures with captions in the text of the article as well as in separate files. The file name of the figure should correspond to the figure number in the article. The drawings should have a caption (example: Figure 1 - Figure title). Please note that there is no dot at the end of the caption. The presence of captions is required, even if the figure comes immediately after the reference to it in the text. Captions should not be inserted into the body (object) of the drawing. All pictures should be referenced in the text. References should be written without abbreviations "figure 5"; do not write " fig. 5". The figures are numbered throughout the text of the article.

Pay attention to the font used in the diagrams/graphs in the text of the article, this should match the main font of the article (Times New Roman, 10.5)

Formula presentation

Formulas are typed in the MathType editor (set font size to 10 pt.). The use of Microsoft Word's integrated formula editor is undesirable.  It is unacceptable to use letters of the Russian alphabet when writing formulas. Letters of the Latin and Greek alphabets may be used.

The decimal separator is a dot.

Small formulas, symbols and notations are typed without using a formula editor.

No tables with invisible borders may be used when writing formulas. Use a tab to enter the formula number. Punctuation marks are not placed after the formula. It is inappropriate to list several formulas separated by commas and give them a common number. A number is given to each formula or system of equations.

Layout of tables

The tables must be titled. The numbering is continuous throughout the text of the article. It is required to refer the tables in the text, even if the table is located in the text directly after the mention of the table. References should be written as "Table 5" without abbreviations; do not write " Tab. 5". The presence of measurement units is required (e.g: V, В). If all values in a table are measured in the same units, they can be specified in the table header or in the table caption.

The editorial board will not consider articles that do not follow the guidelines. 

Use of Artificial Intelligence

In accordance with its editorial policy, the journal’s editorial board does not restrict authors use of AI as a tool (method) for scientific research. However, as with other research methods, authors must disclose information regarding the use of AI by describing the tool (software, service, platform), its version, developer, source (the general URL of the service, where applicable), the procedure for its use, the queries (specifying the sequence and other details of their application) and the dates on which they were made (where applicable), as well as the results of checks on the accuracy and reliability of the results obtained using AI. This description must be presented in the METHODS section (or in another section of the manuscript suitable for describing the research methodology). The description of the use of AI as a research tool (method) must be sufficiently detailed to enable interested independent researchers to replicate the described approach if necessary.

The journal’s editorial team does not object to the use of AI in the preparation of a manuscript for auxiliary purposes (for example, to improve the style and readability of the text, for translation, for formatting the reference list, or for editing illustrative material). However, authors must declare such use of AI when initially submitting their work to the journal and (where applicable) at any stage of its review and editorial preparation. Information regarding the use of AI must be disclosed in the Additional Information section, under the heading Generative Artificial Intelligence (located at the end of the manuscript before the reference list) or in any other section intended for authors to declare the use of AI in the preparation of the manuscript. Authors must state the purposes of its use, identify the sections or components of the manuscript or other materials edited using AI, and specify the tool (software, service or platform, including the URL), its version, the developer, and the dates of use (where applicable). This information is published alongside the manuscript.

The journal’s editorial board strongly advises against using AI for translation without subsequent verification of the translations quality by a professional translator.

Authors must not use AI to create the initial versions of materials submitted to the editorial board for consideration. The editorial board reserves the right to request source materials (e.g. a draft manuscript) for editorial assessment of the authors contribution and to make an informed decision on whether to proceed with the review of the work.

Authors must not list AI as an (co-)author, nor must they refer to AI as an author or cite it (by borrowing text or images) in that capacity.

By submitting a manuscript or any other materials to the journals online editorial office, authors thereby confirm their agreement with all the provisions of the journal’s editorial policy and the Guidelines for Authors regarding the use of AI. In particular, authors should be aware that the materials they submit may be checked using both the publishers own and third-party software products (services) based on AI or designed to detect AI.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with each of the following items, and submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

• Absence of plagiarism.

  The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  Correct manuscript format. Manuscript file format is Microsoft Word (has the extension *.doc, *.docx, *.rtf). The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in "For Authors" section.

• Cover letter.

  All the required supporting documents will be submitted together with the manuscript. Authors guarantee to upload scanned original of the filled cover letter in PDF. A cover letter signed by all authors.

• Supplementary files.

  The authors have prepared for transfer to the editor within the manuscript submission process:

  • Graphic files (photos, satellite images, graphics, etc.) - all in separate jpg or tiff-files;
  • Data (raw-data, statistic analyzis and so on) and/or media-files.

• The authors confirm that:

  • all participants who have made a significant contribution to the study are presented as co-Authors;
  • those who did not participate in the study are not listed as co-Authors;
  • all co-Authors have seen and approved the final version of the work and agreed to submit it for publication.

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal non-exclusive license to first publication;
2. Authors are able to distribute the manuscript and/or the article in accordance with Self-Archiving policy of the journal;
3. The manuscript can be accepted for publication only by decision of the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial board of the journal in accordance with the Manuscript stelection policy of the journal;
4. Published Article will be distributed in print and electronic version and will be available online in Immediate Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

A non-exclusive license for publication granted by authors allows the publisher to use the article in the following ways:

• Reproduction of the Article or its sections or parts, as well as the metadata of the Article in any languages, in any material form, including on paper and electronic media, as a separate work in the journal and/or databases (local or in the Internet) of the publisher and/or other persons, at the discretion of the publisher;
• Distribution of the Article or its sections or parts, as well as the metadata of the Article in any languages, on any medium as part of the journal and/or databases of the publisher or other persons, at the discretion of the publisher, or as an independent work around the world whether on Open-Access terms or for a fee without remuneration to the Author;
• Making the Article or any of its sections or parts, as well as the Article’s metadata in any languages, publicly available in such a way that any person can access the Article from any place, including via the Internet, and at any time of their own choosing;
• Granting permission/s for the use of the Article or its sections or parts, as well as its metadata in any languages, to third parties with notice to the Author made by posting relevant information on the journal’s website, without paying remuneration to the Author;

Other rights not directly transferred to the publisher under this License Agreement, including patent rights to any process, method etc., described by the Authors in the manuscript, as well as trademark rights, are reserved for the Authors.

All the Copyright statements for authors are present in the standard Publishing Agreement (Public Offer) to Publish an Article.

Privacy Statement

The editorial Board of the journal and the administration of the website of the journal do not transfer personal information in any way specified by the users when working with the website of the journal to third parties, except for those cases and to the extent specified in the terms of the copyright agreement.

The affiliation work and e-mail address of the authors of the manuscript accepted for publication will be published in the section "information about the authors" of the printed version of the journal and in the section "about the authors" on the page of the article on the website of the journal.

The phone number of the corresponding author will be known only to the editorial Board Secretariat and will only be used in cases of emergency.
