The article analyzes the development of Vietnamese legislation in the aspect of family and marriage relations since the late XIX century, when Vietnam became an integral part of the French Indochina (Indochinese Union), until the country's unification in 1976. The study is based on the laws and regulations, including very rare materials, that are little studied even in Vietnam, and they are first introduced into scientific circulation in Russian Vietnamese studies. This study also demonstrates the evolution of state regulation of family life during the given period - age and conditions of marriage, family composition and the nature of relationships within it, the ability to file for divorce, etc. It is also shown how timely and to what extent the state responded to family life issues relevant to Vietnamese social thought, and, vice versa, how society itself perceived codification changes in such a traditional sphere.
В статье на основе изучения нормативных правовых актов анализируется развитие вьетнамского законодательства в области семейно-брачных отношений с конца XIX в., когда Вьетнам стал составной частью французской колониальной империи, до объединения страны в 1976 г. Демонстрируется эволюция государственного нормирования многих аспектов семейной жизни в эти важнейшие периоды истории страны - возраста и условий вступления в брак, состава семьи и характера взаимоотношений внутри неё, возможности подать на развод и др. Показано, насколько своевременно и в какой степени государство реагировало на актуальные для вьетнамской общественной мысли вопросы, связанные с семейной жизнью, и, наоборот, как само общество воспринимало кодификационные изменения в столь традиционной по духу сфере.
